Pros: It is great when the work you do has a direct impact on Patient Care. You literally come to work trying to treat others the way you want to be treated.
Cons: It is very demanding on hours outside of normal business hours. That is the nature of IT. A lot of heavy lifting of changes and maintenance has to occur when the business has the least chance of a disruptive impact.
It’s an exciting opportunity for personal growth and is very good rewarding.
