Aircraft Electrician Reviews

What is it like working as an Aircraft Electrician?

December 2020
High in satisfaction when there’s a purpose.
Aircraft Electrician in Camarillo:
Pros: Lot of travel and opportunity to change what I work on every couple of years.
Cons: Grossly incompetent leadership and a toxic work environment that promotes self service over helping everyone.
March 2020
Lonely and isolated.
Aircraft Electrician in Friedrichshafen:
Pros: Learning new things.
Cons: The unorganized structure of work flow. Not knowing what to work on next, when there is a lot of work to do.
July 2015
Looking for better opportunities.
Aircraft Electrician:
Pros: Being able to progress... Get things done. Self worth being the go to technician to teach and manage all personnel in my career field in my squadron.
Cons: How they promote people is what I dislike. They promote test takers rather than aircraft mechanics that work hard and get the job done.
May 2015
Listen Carefully.
Aircraft Electrician:
Theres alot of systems to learn so dont focus on one but broaden your view and learn a little about each and expand.
February 2015
Greatest decision I ever made!
Aircraft Electrician:
Pros: I enjoyed meeting new people from all around our great country, as well as maintain aircraft that make the world a safer place.
Cons: There is a lot of micro-managing, and not enough trust in the worker level people. A lot of people get uncomfortable and timid when they are still figuring everything out as far as training goes.
