Associate Media Director Reviews

What is it like working as an Associate Media Director?

March 2022
Poor Leadership with personal Agenda's.
Associate Media Director in Nashville:
Pros: Media and the challenges and strategy of making the impossible work. I love to negotiate and profile and deep dive into the inner workings of what's really happening to drive the very best results.
Cons: Since I have been working with my current Agency; I have taught others on my team several things that have made them stronger and more valuable assets. However, I have not been taught a single thing from anyone in the agency. Well, with the exception that I should remain quiet, not ask questions, don't ask for anything I need because the answer is no. That I work with others that are complacent and are good with "good enough" and I'm not. I have so many skillsets that remain untapped and now due to only part of what I've said; I'm becoming behind in my industry due to being held back by poor Leadership and devalued when outside my Agency - I'm at the very top of my industry in both reputation and driving results. I do continue to learn every single day and always will but it's through my own media outlets and reports. I've just reached a place in time where sadly, nobody truly recognizes nor knows what I really do and how it benefits all and I can not advance nor apparently grow any further in title (due to Leadership / personal feelings) or payscale. Very sad but it's now leaving me with an overall negative impact.

Cons: The push for this sort of cultural. It's a job for goodness sake. Please let me go home.
