Pros: Downtown Kitchener has always had a bad reputation. Street people, sketchy activity, but its really a great little city core that is consistently growing as fostering new and exciting small businesses. I love being a part of the DTK (downtown kitchener) business community.
Cons: There aren't a lot of opportunities to advance in the food and hospitality industry here, especially since the pandemic. No business can afford to pay a fair wage and relying on gratuity for financial stability is impossible.
