What is it like working as a Club General Manager?
March 2022
Ever changing.
Club General Manager in Marshfield:

Cons: Timeshare business model
October 2019
Grossly undervalued, unappreciated, & under paid at dream job.
Club General Manager in Juneau:
Pros: I absolutely love everything about my job position and the duties/responsibilities entrusted to me here.
Cons: However, I’m not being paid on-time, and currently am owed over a month in past due wages. I’m beginning to feel like my boss intentionally avoids me, in an attempt to avoid conversations addressing increasing past due salary/wages owed. The owner, my boss overlooks my long hours and dedicated job performance. Instead he focuses on irrelevant micro managing aspects of my performance that usually are counterproductive and contradictory to the company’s business model. It’s very disappointing to not be compensated for doing a great job simply because the owner is taking advantage of the love I have for this business. Although I’d still love working here unpaid, it’s a horrible feeling to have my passion taken for granted to this degree. I’ve been paid less since beginning this job than any other in my nearly 25 years of work history, yet comparatively have put in more hours and effort into this job than any other in my life.
