Specified Electrical Contractors (SECON) is a good company to come to with experience because raises aren’t common.
Electrical Apprentice in Tempe:
Pros: I get to learn a lot by observing experienced journeymen and gaining experience by actually preforming the task
Cons: I feel like SECON doesn’t believe in raises. I was told before I was employed with the company I would get a raise after 90 days, that was not the case. After not receiving a raise, I waited a few months then brought it up to my boss and he told me he didn’t know what I was talking about and my boss and another foreman laughed in my face. After over a year of working with secon, I still haven’t received a raise. With all this said I am always assigned the most dangerous and extreme jobs but get payed the least and don’t have any training
April 2020
Days drag out.
Electrical Apprentice in Omaha:
Pros: Learning and working
Cons: The Union aspect and how they try and get 2 hours of work in a 10 hour day. Makes the day feel like forever when I’d like to learn and get things done.
December 2019
It’s a great place to start your career,...
Electrical Apprentice in Richmond:
Pros: The diversty
Cons: The way they go about raises and pay after you’ve finished school.
