Night Auditor, Hotel Reviews
What is it like working as a Night Auditor, Hotel?
July 2019
I like it well enough.
Night Auditor, Hotel in Red Deer:
Pros: It helps me as an introvert feel comfortable in my work environment as I spend most of my time in my own company. I deal with customers at a comfortable pace, and I get to continue practicing my former profession of Security as I am often on monitoring duty when my audit is finished, watching and protecting the assets of our guests. It makes me feel like I'm contributing even though I am usually on my own.
Cons: My employer (Not the same person as my direct manager) has of late been doing some questionable things with the business. Our staff are on call at night (during my off nights) and are not paid for their time if they are called in, and he has been attempting to change the way we receive payments to preauthorized debit instead of paying in person, which I feel is intended to remove his need for an auditor like myself. I feel he is attempting to phase out staff members in favour of automation, which leaves me certain he will terminate my employment sooner or later.

Night Auditor, Hotel in Surprise:
I love what I do , but my employer just doesn’t appreciate what a night Auditor does. She doesn’t understand how difficult it can be to work at night , yet she continues to add more responsibility to my checklist . She says she can do it and I will have to watch her .. . I’m making minimum wage , if I was getting a little more pay I wouldn’t mind but I’m not even getting a differential.
