Pros: Genesis management has been very supportive with enhancing my skills as a therapist and a manager. The clinical education, mentoring and training is so abundant and you can always rely on a clinical director to help you out with any questions regarding policies and procedures or scope of practice issues.
Cons: Health insurance is not the best; Stress level with current job responsibilities including need to request insurance authorization, patient intake, supervisory role, marketing to MD offices and other health care providers, managing 9 staff, scheduling, direct patient care, hiring, interviewing and orientation of new hires, and attending meetings.

Pros: Grand Rapids is a stable environment to grow in. Business in diverse and the opportunities are broad. The social environment is progressing and the violent crime rate is very low for cities of comparable size.
Cons: The conservative mindset of people and business generally means low risk takers and entrepreneurial spirit is not as aggressive as one might hope.
