Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer in London:
Pros: London is a city that has a lot of good people if you're willing to go out and find them. There are plenty of good ways to get engaged whether you're into sports, music, technology, food, etc. Be open and you'll find a place.
Cons: The city feels kind of sprawling. It's not a "big city" in relation to many others, but geographically it feels bigger than what it has to offer. There is a lot of space between things, which in a way is nice because there is a fair amount of greenspace in the city, but it's not as though all of this extra space is used for things like trees and gardens. There are a LOT of places where the train tracks cross the main arteries of the city which can be an issue. So, mainly transportation, which seems like a common complaint in a lot of cities.
