. It was a good place for me to take ownership and grow, and I helped to build the brand and the processes for my section of the department almost from the ground up. I appreciated the efforts that leadership put into trying to gather and implement employee feedback. But they did not do a good job with the lay offs in Oct 2017.

New to and enjoying the healthcare industry.
Sr. Instructional Designer (Training & Development) in Salt Lake City:
Pros: I enjoy the city life / atmosphere; it has walkability, restaurants, coffee shops, nice architecture, and is a University town.
Cons: The commute is a moderate to acute pain, and I don't love having to dress business casual after coming from non-customer facing software companies where I could wear jeans / shorts and a t-shirt.

You're never done learning.
Sr. Instructional Designer (Training & Development):
Always be learning something new (tools, technology, processes, etc.). Embrace change because in my experience nothing stays the same for very long and you need to be able to quickly adapt to those changes in order to be successful.

GR8 Place To Work.
Sr. Instructional Designer (Training & Development):
Pros: Lots of freedom to work my projects how I see fit as long as they get done within set deadlines. Get to learn bout the entire palette of roles within the company as I develop content for all levels within the company.
Cons: Nothing bad to say at this point, have and awesome team over in the States and they go all out to make sure I feel included even though we are thousand of miles apart.
