What is it like working at Eskom?

It depends on which department you r for. I work for Revenue Measurements, I enjoy what I do but at times I feel that I have outgrown my position.
Customer Service Agent in Cape Town:
Pros: Assisting customers. Analysing customer accounts. Assisting my colleagues
Cons: Routine admin stuff
It’s a major responsibility since one has to account to public funds.
Managing Quantity Surveyor in Pretoria:
Pros: Its a major contributor to the efficient/lack thereof, to how the country’s economy performs.
Cons: Inconsistency in the application of remuneration policies and procedures, and fear of accountability which inhibits responsible personnel to act in their job spaces.
It's a good expirencing and challenging one as you have to deal with diversity which is the most deficult thing to handle.

Pros: Managing KPI'S AND KPA'S, Managing staff utilisation, fleet, finance,training development, sick leave, overtime, restoration time of supply
Cons: It's a good company to work for and the development of staff
