PetSmart Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at PetSmart Inc.?

Working as a bather for Petsmart has been one of the most difficult but also most rewarding jobs I've had.
Dog Bather in Smyrna:
Pros: I love the feeling that I am doing a service for others and that I am making a difference in what I do. For example, there's some dogs that come in and only request me because either nobody else can handle them, they misbehave for other people, or other people just simply don't want to do them. I know the feeling, as a pet parent, of being helpless when it comes to your dog having behavioral issues and being denied services. I believe that everyone deserves a chance. I also am very fond of my coworkers and upper management (for the most part). I believe that my effort is seen and appreciated, but also that I am held responsible for any mistakes I do make.
Cons: This answer is specific to the grooming salon- and really just salons in general. I am not a fan of drama and I never really have been. Granted, it is hard to avoid drama when you work with all girls (every now and then a guy will come into the mix). For the most part, it's unavoidable given the environment and having to see each other every day mixed with everyone having different work ethics and methods of doing their job. So, I'd say the drama is what I like least about the job.
Chaotic Neutral.
Sales Associate in Rosemead:
Pros: When everyone is working together to keep the store running.
Cons: When I am the only one on the floor and at the cash register.
It is my dream job.
Dog Bather in Danvers:
Pros: I get to work with dogs!
Cons: you max out at a certain price and I have even crossed trained at other stores.but due to covid they are hiring new employees at the same rate I get paid with no experience and it took me 3 years to get there crossed trained and trained at other stores I also even go above and beyond to run the salon smoothly..even when it is not my job bc I love and am passionate at what I do!!
It’s fun but we’re underpaid for what he have to deal with.
Dog Groomer in Edmonton:
Pros: Making all the dogs look and feel great
Cons: My manager and the hourly pay is too low
Fast Paced Fun Energetic.
Dog Bather in Commerce:
Pros: I loved working with our pet parents animals, making them feel good and look good is my favorite part especially the look on the doggies faces when they see their parents!
Cons: The back labor.
Retail Manager in Towson:
Pros: Animal husbandry experience, easy entry into management, good discount
Cons: Understaffed, underpaid, zero work/life balance
I love my job. However not appreciated.
Customer Service Supervisor in Wichita:
Pros: Customers, my associates and working with animals
Cons: Lack of training ( for my position) lack of structure in the store, lack of appreciation from my in store manager and no raise for almost 4 years.
