You must have a passion for food if you expect cooking to be a fulfilling profession. You must be willing and able to deliver quality and consistency in a loud, stressful, hot, fast-paced environment.

Growing, but still slow in their ways.
Line Cook in Grand Rapids:
Pros: The people here are hard and passionate workers. With growth in the hospitality and medical industries here, there is an evergrowing list of things to enjoy.
Cons: The downside to GR, is that it still set in their ways and are very difficult to change. From internal practices like how businesses treat and reward employees to how people view tipping, etc. It can be discouraging at times to work in GR.
