Cons: Raise structure is lacking.
Working at Build-A-Bear is the Best!
Retail Shift Supervisor in Huntsville:
Pros: I love working with kids and getting to be around people all day. I get to provide some happiness by making them a little furry friend.
Cons: It can be especially stressful around the holidays, but that's to be expected.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Calgary:
It was average. The job also doesn't really transfer experience to the next job in the eyes of employers. Pros: Easy if you can come out of your shell. Does pay stat days like your birthday. Cons: Not competitive wage. Little incentive to go up in company with little opportunity.
Key Holder:
It’s a wonderful work family in every building, but the truth is it just doesn’t pay enough as it should. Maybe if you live in a state where minimum is higher than the federal $7.25, but otherwise, you’re going to be working very hard (with children!) for very little money. It is an excellent, rewarding job, but seeing your paycheck after all your hard work can be disheartening.
