Erlanger Health Systems Reviews

What is it like working at Erlanger Health Systems?

Interdisciplinary Team makes it worth it.
Physical Therapist (PT) in Chattanooga:
Pros: I have great interdisciplinary team workers, I have some flexibility with hours each day, a lot of trust to approach patient care independently.
Cons: The pay is underwhelming, they rarely offer overtime or incentive pay, frequently overlooked when looking at the importance/improvements to patient care and overall experience.
Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in Chattanooga:
Board members continuously receive bonuses and pay raises, but nursing staff remain short staffed and haven’t received a pay raise in 4 years. They canceled our means to receive pay raises via the merit system.
Work yourself to death with no appreciation.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Chattanooga:
Pros: My patients!! I enjoy taking care of people and helping them through life changes. Being able to encourage someone when they are at their weakest.
Cons: Compensation! Extremely low pay and no room for growth or salary increase. No paid holidays, or on call pay. They require you to take On a heavy work load, high Pt/Nurse ratio and more and more charting requirements without an increase in compensation. Cost of living has increased, cost of health insurance has increased, the hospitals charge more but don’t compensate their staff for keeping the hospital running. A hospital can not run without nurses.
Great place to grow.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Chattanooga:
Pros: Their encouragement to further your education
Cons: Chronically short staffed
I enjoy my position and feel I am able to care properly for my patients.
Physician Assistant (PA) in Chattanooga:
Pros: The clinic I work in is extremely caring of all patients, and it is a very positive environment to work in.
Cons: The electronic medical record system is very cumbersome.
Working as a patient care technician is hard work, we have no educational latter of advancement and we are not included in bedside nursing nor any other medical group.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in Chattanooga:
Pros: That Erlanger is a teaching hospital.
Cons: Hardly any pay raises for patient care technician and no advancement.
Could be better.
Patient Care Technician in Chattanooga:
Pros: My patients
Cons: The system
