Fred Meyer Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Fred Meyer Inc?

No family flexibility.
Warehouse Associate in Chehalis:
Pros: Never short hours to work
Cons: Last minute mandatory overtime and mandatory your days off, if you don't comply, you get written up
Stressful.
Asset Protection Manager in Portland:
Pros: Freedom to write own schedule.
Cons: Compensation is a joke. Expected to work 50+ hours a week and underpaid.
Hell on earth.
Cashier in Newport:
Pros: The customers and the coworkers are great
Cons: The pay, the chaotic scheduling, never having a day off, not enough people working.
Stressful for the amount of things I do I feel underpaid.
Retail Sales Associate in Seattle:
Pros: Breaks stock room work
Cons: My pay for the amount of things I do and the situations they lit me in
Working as in E-Commerce in the Pandemic is a mixed bag.
eCommerce Manager in Mount Vernon:
Pros: I have flexible hours which is awesome since I am currently in school. I am trusted enough by my department managers to take charge and be a leader within the department and make big decisions or contributions to our day-to-day operations.
Cons: In the midst of the Pandemic, we have been slammed in terms of meeting the daily demands of customers, even though we have doubled the number of employees we have in my department, we still have daily failures with the technology that we are provided that help expedite the process of shopping for customers, but when those tools have a system crash it can set back our whole day unfortunately.
Classic retail pharmacy work, but Kroger makes it a nightmare.
Pharmacy Technician in Tacoma:
Pros: Specifically at my location, my manager is laid back and all of my coworkers are a joy to work with
Cons: I feel I am under-appreciated and underpaid
I’m always short staffed.
Fuel Attendant in Beaverton:
Pros: I’m getting paid a 15.30$ base and I’m guaranteed a 90 cent raise every year
Cons: We’re always short staffed. We’re constantly getting our hours cut. No one wears their mask coming through the gas station. 40% of our customers are disrespectful and 10% are abusive. We’re only allowed to take 30 minute lunches when every other department takes an hour lunch. Was promoted really fast and wasn’t given proper training, just a learn as you go type deal.
