Ironwood Plastics Reviews
What is it like working at Ironwood Plastics?
The Company Above All.
Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Inspector in Ironwood:
Pros: Fairly casual atmosphere with a steady pace of work.
Coworkers tend to be friendly and helpful.
You get the opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills and techniques to excel in your field.
Annual raise and reasonable profit sharing program.
Cons: Currently, production crew is on mandatory weekend overtime. Support crews and front office people are not required to participate.
Management and leadership tend to play favorites, even if it means ignoring their own policy.
Opportunities for advancement come few and far between. When they do come up, training and skill is commonly ignored in favor of convenience.
Your pay is set in stone. If you do not take advancements, you do not get any raises outside of the annual.
Short term or temporary position changes commonly become long term or permanent. Fill in positions, even long term, will not give you any compensation or incentives.
The company hates criticism and will commonly tell people to leave if they don't like they way things are.
Your personal life does not matter, the company must come first above all things.
It is extremely difficult to be rated as an above average employee. Going above and beyond may not be enough.
Turnover rate is extremely high and the company doesn't seem to understand any reasons for this.
