Macmillan Reviews
What is it like working at Macmillan?
Relentless busy work, low pay.
Accounts Assistant in New York:
Cons: There is little attention to the quality of the books themselves. The focus is on shareholders and to their detriment. Other publishing houses are doing quality commercial fiction, Macmillan’s going to be left in the dust if their standards don’t improve. Woefully underpaid, even for publishing. All entry level positions pay below New York State livable wage.
It's a great job. Very satisfying.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Bournemouth:

Account Coordinator in Basingstoke:
Pros: Daily interaction with clients and feeling like I’ve accomplished a lot
Cons: Senior management are unapproachable
Great - But lots of turnover.
Human Resources Advisor in London:
Pros: The flex and PMI
Cons: Travel into city
