Cons: The pay is not up to scale for my profession. Also, we do not get merit increases, only cost of living increases.
I am very free to do my own thing and come up with ideas on how to expand my roles.

Overall, the Canaveral Port Authority is a wonderful place to work...great executive management, great benefits, great work environment. I would say the only thing I disagree with is that the Agency does not give raises based on performance. Everyone gets a yearly evaluation but then the only increase in pay is an across the board cost of living increase. So the best employee to the worst employee gets exactly the same thing, which in my opinion is not something to encourage people.
