Protective Life Corporation Reviews

What is it like working at Protective Life Corporation?

My day at Protective.
Senior Legal Analyst in Birmingham:
Pros: I enjoy doing research and preparing legal analysis of the research projects I am given.
Cons: The office politics.
ERP Analyst in Birmingham:
Most things are what you would expect for a larger corporation. The benefits and paid time off are mediocre, with one exception. They contribute 6% of your pay into a cash balance pension fund each year. You do need to stay at least 3 years to get any of that. In some departments, they offer 100% virtual or a hybrid (one day remote) option. There's a large accounting department (makes sense as this is an insurance company), and many positions there have a lot of routine tasks and Excel work. If you like that, then you'll be satisfied. If you hate that kind of work, then you'll be looking to transfer teams/companies very soon.
Can be trying.

Cons: Strict rules regarding time off phones and adherence
