Springhill Suites By Marriott Reviews
What is it like working at Springhill Suites By Marriott?
Stressfull, lack of time and support from Franchise Holder.
Sales Director in San Antonio:
Pros: My General Manager and Staff
Cons: Franchise upper management
Life at the springhill.
Hotel Housekeeping Aide/Attendant/Assistant in Billings:
Pros: Being left alone to do my work
Cons: Being cussed at by owner/management also having to clean up after other housekeeping employees
Housekeeper in Colorado Springs:
Cons: When minimum wage was increased, I got bumped up to it, meaning imynow making minimum instead of about minimum like I was. They see no problem with this.
It is an awesome experience.
Front Desk Manager in Lehigh Acres:
Pros: The atmosphere
Cons: Hours
It's a job, I guess.
Night Auditor in Grand Junction:
Pros: I get ample time to work on other skills during my overnight shift. This is important to me, as I'm hoping to leave the hospitality industry and never work here again.
My manager is nice. He tries, at least.
Cons: Where do I start?
The hours are, of course, awful. There is little to no communication. Our franchise owners don't let us replace broken items because they're "too expensive" (I see our revenue reports every night; we have the money, trust me). There are some issues I've had for as long as I've worked here, and nobody has communicated, followed up, acknowledged, or otherwise done anything to try to resolve the issues. Our raises cap out at $13; there are employees who have been at this hotel for over a decade who still only make $13. Our GM is being run ragged by our owners; he's doing the work of three people right now, and they don't seem to care so long as they can cut corners on costs.
It's like nobody cares about anything at all here. I can't wait to leave. I don't want to be here. We're owned by greedy people who view their employees as mindless worker drones who don't need a sustainable income.
If I cared at all about a promotion, maybe I'd tough it out and start liking it here, but... I don't like it here. Night Audit is just a stepping stone. This company has caused my mental health to deteriorate rapidly.
Excellent benefits.
Guest Services Representative in Ocala:
Pros: Learning about travel experiences and meeting people of all backgrounds.
Cons: I want to become an entreprenuer.
Tiring on the weekends as people party.
Night Auditor, Hotel in Sioux Falls:
Pros: Beung aroynd people
Cons: The low pay
