The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Reviews

What is it like working at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)?

Working as a Clinical Coordinator/Administrative Assistant at CHOP is extremely fulfilling.
Clinical Coordinator in Philadelphia:
Pros: I love being able to work independently with little to no supervision. I love being a point of contact for my division in the area of research. I love working and interacting with patients and their families.
Cons: The commute using Mass transit.
Clinical Coordinator in Philadelphia:
Pros: Making a difference daily to patients and families by giving them hope for a better quality of life
Cons: No career growth within the department.
Great opportunities for learning.
Respiratory Therapist in Philadelphia:
Pros: There are always opportunities to learn new skills and there are always teaching opportunities. The experiences gained from this hospital are unlike any you would get from other institutions.
Cons: The institution itself does not always come across that it really values its employees, be that with compensation or other perks to remain with the hospital long term. They know they can turn over nurses and other ancillary staff easily, so the institution does not seem concerned with retention of senior staff. Which can become scary when most of the staff at the bedside is new and inexperienced.
Great Atmosphere.
