Uncommon Schools Reviews

What is it like working at Uncommon Schools?

It's tremendously rewarding.
Elementary School Teacher in Rochester:
Pros: We make changes in students culturally and academically. We close academic gaps quicker than most schools I've had experience in. Its very rigorous and high demand. Everything is about student data because our instruction is data driven.
Cons: How much I'm getting paid. I have had teaching and school experiences way longer than 5 years. My eperiences range from centers for children with disabilities, religious centers, public schools, and suburban schools. Every experience i was meant to be observing in i was a teacher in. I was a tutor and a volunteer at an islamic center for 3 summers as well, before having a teaching degree.
