School Psychologist Reviews

What is it like working as a School Psychologist?

May 2021
School Psychologist in Emerald Isle:
I worked for OCS for several years. The caseload was exceptionally high. The pay was exceptionally low. Most important the lack of respect for staff obviously. The people at the county office level are disconnected from those in the classroom. The environment was toxic. I wouldn't choose to work here again.

A balancing act trying to advocate for students while still getting buy-in from teachers from a different era of teaching.
School Psychologist in Shelley:
Pros: I love to consult with both parents and teachers, as well as work closely with the students who need social/emotional supports, as well as academic needs.
Cons: The pay is extremely low for the amount of work put into the job. I also struggle with the lack of training many of our staff have, due to the difficulty of finding qualified teachers/staff to apply for such a low paying job in such a small community.

One of the best places to work in the state of Mississippi.
School Psychologist in Ocean Springs:
Pros: A relaxed work environment that gives me the tools I need to succeed
