Falcon school district is growing very fast. They are experiencing some growing pains but overall, seem to be adapting to their growth. My department has a great district level leader. The pay scale is competitive and the benefits are above average.

Pros: Dynamic population, lots of freedom to have ideas and creative working in private sector In public sector, the job is more secure but the payments is low.
Cons: Corruption and nepotism in public sector.

Work as a team.
School Psychologist:
Some school psychologists enter the job with the idea that they are the "end-all," "be-all" in a decision making process. You are part of a team! We may have the answers about a child's formal evaluation, but teachers spend the entire day with them. We have a snapshot of them for a short amount of time.
