Cons: I think that the company strives to keep competitive salaries across same positions. That means if you are at level 5, be it you have 1year experience or 8 years experience, it does not make difference. Although this intention is rational, it does however comes as disadvantage to individuals who have higher and much responsibilities in terms of compensation fairness.
