Cons: Pay disparity is huge between local hires and official on deputation

Pros: Well, performance based incentives totally not given. Less motivation to work.

It's a fantastic position to serve . You get job satisfaction and recognition as well.

Cons: Being a government Bank it has some ineffeciency.
It's challenging, interesting and provides new learning curves.
