Obstetrician / Gynecologist (OB/GYN) in Topeka:
Pros: Bring life into the world
Cons: I feel like we are treated as CNAs and our unit could not survive with one of us here
Just an example. Patient in the unit meets criteria for LTAC. CM on regular basis refuses to refer patient. No one can say anything because you’re the bad person.
Case Manager in Valdosta:
Pros: Taking care of the patients
Cons: The favoritism which is shown. Some of the employees who try to do the right thing and who will not take part in the clique are blackballed.

Pros: I love helping my patients
Cons: Advancement is base on favoritism and not best qualified. Least educated white seem to qualify. Educated none white qualified are never given any opportunity for advancement.

Cons: The pay. Nightshift differential is lower than evening shift.

We work very hard at St francis but our pay scale is well below less highly rated hospitals. We are involved with EP< CATH< TAVR <TEES< OR <out patients. Our skills are always challenged which is good but we need help to complete our tasks due to the volume.
